After twenty-three years covering weddings for couples from all walks of life I can honestly say that I still really love what I do. I get to work with people on one of the happiest days of their lives and document it in a way they will cherish for many years to come.

I truly believe that “Love Is Love” and that everyone deserves the right to celebrate their marriage with all of the people that support them.

The first gay couple I ever worked with years ago told me how much they struggled to find vendors who would not shun them. And that they nearly cried when we were so opening and welcoming to them. It made me realize what an important service this site is to the LGBTQ community and I wanted to be a part of it!

Fun Facts

How would you describe your Photo & Video style?
Documentary with a bit of traditional posed portraits thrown in. I know everyone loves having group photos of all the special people in their lives taken at weddings, but that they don’t want to spend a ton of time doing them. I have a quick and efficient way of doing these so we can get on to the fun photos and the celebration.

Where did you grow up? How long have you been in Colorado?
I grew up in South Dakota with a mother who was a professional photographer. I spent my childhood assisting her and working in her studio. I moved to Colorado in 1998 to study photography at The Art Institute of Colorado and just fell in love with the state and never left.

Sweet or Salty?
Sweet, This is a problem for a wedding photographer because people are always trying to give you leftover cake at an event!!!

Favorite genre to read?
I’m very busy so I don’t get much time to read anymore, so I started listening to books on tape while I edit photos. I’m really getting into some fiction genres I’ve never thought I’d like before like SciFi and Mystery.

Favorite movie?
What Dreams May Come. I watch this movie whenever I need a good cry! It’s a really good love story with an idyllic view of heaven.

Favorite TV show at the moment?
Anything fantasy related… Doing all the Star Wars shows with my boys as well as Stranger Things.

Favorite kind of music/ favorite artist?
I’m really a classic rock fan. This will always be my go to, but I like many other types of genres as well. It helps to have a husband who is a disc jockey! His company is Digital DJ. He is always exploring new music!

What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not working?
Free time? What’s that? But seriously… We are Coloradoans and do what most love to do with our kiddos and that’s hike, camp and spend time in the mountains!
