Ajay and Jacob’s Colorado Springs Wedding

Ajay and Jacob’s lives have taken them all across the United States as they started and finished med school. Fortunately, their residency brought them to beautiful Colorado, where they decided to have their wedding in 2019.

For their engagement session, we started off with what became one of their favorite activities after moving to Colorado: exploring small mountain town cafes. After a hearty breakfast, we moved on to Kenosha Pass for some outdoor exploration. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Even with a healthy amount of snow on the ground, the bluebird sky and the December sun made it the quintessential Colorado winter day.

Almost a year later, we had more snow in the days leading up to their October wedding. Once again, though, Colorado came through with a beautiful fall day that was only enhanced by the snow that still graced the fields around Spruce Mountain Ranch.

Ajay and Jacob decided to mix and match wedding day traditions from their cultures, but the thing that wove it all together was amazing music. They began their day with the most energetic baraat we’ve ever captured, filled with dancing, laughter, and vibrant attire. Later in the day, at Spruce Mountain Ranch, they exchanged vows in front of the fireplace in front of their friends and family, who were given the instructions: dress to impress (sparkles encouraged). And boy did everyone follow directions! The newlyweds and their guests danced the night away to both a live band and a DJ – never once losing their energy!
