Victoria and Ashlee’s Flagstaff Wedding

Photographed by Jennie Crate Photographer

Victoria and Ashlee have been looking forward to their wedding day for over a year.

Because of weather threats, we made a last-minute decision to move their ceremony to Boulder, up Flagstaff mountain, which was actually perfect because they had gotten engaged at Chautauqua Park.

They held their ceremony on the patio of the Halfway House, and thankfully the rain stayed at bay.

They started with a first look among the purple wildflowers before heading to the patio for their ceremony.

Victoria started crying almost as soon as she started speaking and their ceremony felt so full of hope, thankfulness, and joy. Victoria chose to read her vows in front of their families, while Ashlee wanted to save hers for a more private moment later.

After their first kiss sealed them as married, they shared Bundtini’s with their family and thanked everyone for coming.

Then we headed off on our own to do more portraits of the two of them. We headed back to the field of wildflowers, with the late sun was just starting to peek through the clouds. The golden glow highlighted their love and excitement, and their easy chemistry made their portraits so much fun.

After we left the wildflowers we headed up to Lost Gulch where they took in the views together.

It was calm and sunny at the overlook, with only a couple of people scattered around. They chose a spot at the end of the rocks, where Ashlee shared her vows with Victoria.

Then they popped a bottle of champagne to cap off the night.

Congrats you two!!
