Noelle and Kelly's Boulder Wedding

Thinking back to Noelle and Kelly’s wedding, I cannot think of a wedding full of more energy. Not only were they both on the dance floor the whole night, but their guests radiated the same energy throughout the whole wedding. Without a doubt, these two enjoyed every moment of their memorable wedding.

Our coverage started with Kelly getting ready with her family at a house in Boulder. After we documented the beautification process and the moments in between, we traveled a few blocks to Noelle getting ready. With her parents and sister by her side, Noelle got into her dress and put on her jewelry. From there, we headed to their ceremony at Sunrise Amphitheater located on Flagstaff Mountain. As a Boulder LGBT wedding photographer, I have shot many ceremonies, and by far, Sunrise Amphitheater is my favorite location. With the unbeatable view and symmetrical seating, it photographs beautifully whether close up or a wide shot.

After Noelle and Kelly finished their ceremony and signed their marriage license, we photographed family photos. The guests left to get cocktail hour started at Rembrandt Yard and we stayed to photograph portraits at the amphitheater and at a nearby poppy field. With poppies being my favorite flower, I knew we had to stop when I saw the pops of orange in a nearby field. To add to the magic of the day, a deer slowly strolled by while we were leaving.

We then headed to the reception at Rembrandt Yard. Noelle and Kelly were greeted with an eruption of applause and joy. The evening ended with dinner, cake cutting and of course, lots and lots of dancing. I knew Noelle and Kelly loved to dance, but I was surprised that almost everyone was on the dance floor all night! Young and old, they kept up the energy all night long!

The couple was sent off with dried flowers that Noelle’s mom had prepared. Hands together, covered in petals, Noelle and Kelly headed off to continue their celebration.
