Urban Events by Michelle Thibodeau

Hi! I’m Michele; wedding planner, designer, and entrepreneur.  I started my first business at 24 and my second one at 29. It was the scariest thing I have ever done (each time) but let’s just say, I’m not a rule follower. I truly believe that, like many people say, if you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life. Planning weddings, any weddings, is what I love to do.

I truly believe love is love which is why I wanted to come onto LGBTQ I Do. I am truly passionate about inclusivity, community and support. It is deep rooted into who I am and that will never stop short, especially when it comes to your wedding day. So, sit back, relax and let my keen eye for detail, dynamic approach and organizational skills help you plan the wedding of your dreams.

Fun Facts

How would you describe your design style?
I would say my style is eclectic. I don’t like doing the same thing twice. If you have an outside the box idea, I will be the first to volunteer to do it!

Where did you grow up? How long have you been in Colorado?
I grew up in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland (go Ravens!). I moved to Colorado when I was 16 when my father got a job at Buckley Airforce Base. I went back to Maryland for a semester in college where I learned to love Natty Bo’s and Berger Cookies, but soon realized my heart was back in Colorado. I have been here ever since! I completed college, met my husband, had a couple kids and plan to stay for a while!
