Fun Facts

How would you describe your photography style?
I am not sure that I fit into a specific category when it comes to style. I consider myself to be a documentary style photographer as I capture all parts of the day. I am a candid queen and I focus on the real and raw emotions throughout your day. As far as my editing style goes: a little dark and moody, contrasty, vibrant, and bold. 

Where did you grow up? 
I grew up here, in Colorado and have lived here all but 2 years of my life. At this point, I don’t have any plans of leaving. I am pretty much the definition of a Colorado “kid”. I started skiing not long after I could walk. I grew up playing in the mountains on the weekends and spending as much time outdoors as possible. 

Favorite movie?
OOOfff so hard to choose. How about like a top 10 instead – 
The Departed, The Dark Knight, Shrek 2, Black Panther, Love Actually, No Country for Old Men, Pulp Fiction, Gangs of New York, Fargo, and Avatar

Favorite genre to read?
As far as fiction goes, I pretty much only read murder mysteries – Girl with the Dragon Tattoo type stuff.. I read lots of non-fiction, mostly about business, climate change, sustainability, and food culture. You will occasionally find me rereading the Harry Potter series for the 100th time.

Favorite kind of music/ favorite artist?
A few of my favorite artists are: Modest Mouse, Broken Social Scene, Chvrches, The Naked and Famous, The 1975, Foo Fighters, The National, Tegan and Sarah, and Taylor Swift.

I loveeeee music, especially live music, but you will usually find me listening to indie pop, alternative, bluegrass, and pop. 

What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not working?
Travel, ski/snowboard at resorts and in the backcountry, hut trips, bike (mountain and road), cook, go to concerts and comedy shows, spend time with friends and family, play board and card games, play pickleball, drink wine and eat lots of cheese :)
