Colorado Elopement Legend Award Winners!

There are countless photography competitions around the globe, but we are all lucky that the Elopement Legend Awards exisit.

Founded by Lucy Schultz two years ago, this award competition is leading the way with it’s inclusive focus and the strength of real life moments at real life elopements. It’s rare to see a competition that highlights the LGBTQ+ community as much as this one does, with countless winning photographs taken at LGBTQ+ elopements, and a high proportion of photographers identifying, or actively and visually supporting the queer community in their businesses.

In the founder’s own words:

The Elopement Photography Legend Awards is an explicitly inclusive photo competition that showcases elopement couples of every kind. The award aims to pull back the curtain on elopements and promote the real, raw and emotional moments that make up the authentic story of each couple. We highlight photographers who value more than the beautiful posed portraits we see in magazines, and truly care about capturing the wild, weird and wonderful couples who elope. LGBTQIA+ couples and partners, unique couples, interracial couples, alternative couples, and those who give the middle finger to tradition are celebrated here. When we say everyone, we mean everyone. Elopement submissions are limited to 15 guests, and photographers from all over the world may submit.
